The Week Ahead: March 9th to 13th, 2020

Happy Friday!

I feel like March is already flying by! Can you believe we are almost halfway through the month? And it’s time to send out progress reports.

Don’t forget that ALL assignments are due by March 13th the fall into the Q3 category. I have update grades with 0s for missing assignments. Check-in with me to get on track. This is for AP & English 9.

Speaking of the end of the quarter, I have updated Google Classroom to have the ATL Self Assessment up and ready for responses. Please make sure to complete that survey ASAP so that I can have your voice when I update progress reports.

English 9

Day 1: You will be completing a Quill grammar diagnostic. The directions will post on Google Classroom at 8am. I will be out. Please be on your best behavior for the substitute.

Day 2 & 3: I will be taking data from the grammar diagnostics and will be creating mini-lessons and practices to hone your skills.

Day 4: You will have the freedom and opportunity to work on your independent reading project which is due Friday by 11:59pm to Google Classroom.

It will be a pretty easy week with minimal homework so that you have the opportunity to work on your independent reading essay. Take advantage of it!

AP Seminar

Monday: You will continue your work on your research questions and work on your elevator pitches which are outlined on Google Classroom.

Tuesday: Time to hear from one another what direction you are going in for your IWA.

Thursday & Friday: RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH! I am NOT assigning a research log, but I do recommend using one. Your next due date will be your outline, which is due in class on March 23rd.

Keep up the great work! Email me your research questions this weekend for feedback. You can do this! I know it is hard, but I know that you can do this so well.
